2 militants killed in Sopore gunfight, search operation on | KNO

Sopore, May 30 (KNO) : Two militants were killed in an encounter that broke out between hiding militants and government forces at Banpora, Dangerpora area of sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning.. A joint team of army’s 22 RR and SOG had launched a cordon-and-search operation at Banpora dangerpora village of sopore. After the searches were intensified the forces fired some warning shots towards the suspected spot, the militants hiding inside opened fire leading to a gunfight, the official told KNO. "Two militant have been killed in the encounter while as search operation is still going on," the official told KNO. Already, authorities closed all educational institutions including colleges and higher secondary schools in Zangeer area while as internet services are blocked as well.(KNO)
